Arcdh Arc – Association for Human Rights of Azerbaijanis of Iran "ArcDH"
At the 57th regular session of the UN Human Rights Council, the Association for the Defence of Human Rights of Azerbaijanis of Iran- “ArcDH Association” issued a strong warning about the environmental crisis caused by hazardous waste in Azerbaijan(iran). During the interactive dialogue on September 17, 2024, Arc Association expressed concerns about the air of the cities like Tabriz is extremely polluted due to Mazut burring and mismanagement of energy.
- Because of very low quality of cars manufactured in Iran and due to governmental monopole of car industry, air of all cities in Azerbaijan region is very polluted.
- Many water resources and rivers are contaminated by chemical wastes of nearby factories; this list includes but not limited to:
- Qarasu river in Ardabil is completely contaminated by various dangerous chemical wastes. The main reason of contamination is the refinery of Ardabil Industrial Park.
